WHO IS SETH COHEN?

Seth Cohen is a 25-year publicity expert and lifestyle/music industry veteran who has secured placements in virtually every major TV and print media outlet in the United States. He is equally adept navigating the digital world, regularly generating web-based editorial content for his clients. He is a steady hand in a capricious industry, and has spent his career garnering notable coverage for iconic superstars and relative unknowns alike. Cohen also represents start-up tech firms, small businesses, select non-profits and more. 

 

Before launching his eponymous PR firm in 2003, Seth Cohen was Vice President at Shore Fire Media, where he handled Bruce Springsteen's publicity for many years. 

Seth was the day-to-day point-person for Springsteen and coordinated, supervised, secured and/or accompanied Bruce to all U.S. press interviews, television appearances and album release/tour coverage during the period beginning with Bruce's Grammy Awards performance for "Streets of Philadelphia", and continuing through Bruce's 'Greatest Hits' CD, 'The Ghost of Tom Joad', Academy Award performance and related coverage for "Dead Man Walking", 'In Concert – MTV Plugged' CD, 'Tracks' Box Set and accompanying international promo tour, 'Songs' Book, Polar Music Prize and ceremony in Sweden, Rock and Rock Hall of Fame Induction ceremony, reunion tour with the E Street Band (including handling all press for Bruce's record 15 sold-out shows at The Meadowlands and ten concerts at Madison Square Garden,) 'Live in New York City' CD, and much more.

Other past PR campaigns include Shania Twain's landmark 'Come On Over', the largest selling CD by a woman in the history of the recording industry, Lin-Manuel Miranda's Grammy and Tony Award-Winning OCR for 'In The Heights', as well as Wynton Marsalis' Pulitzer Prize-winning oratorio on slavery, 'Blood on the Fields'. 

Albums Seth Cohen has worked on have collectively sold well over 80 million copies. 

Cohen has also accompanied clients and handled all media-related matters on their behalf at such events as The Academy Awards, Grammy Awards, Billboard Music Awards, more. 

As referenced above, Cohen also supports Tech Start-Ups as Strategic Advisor and Media Expert. He works with Start-Ups and CEOs to help articulate their message more effectively through storytelling, engaging written materials, honing outreach language, and expanding press contact to non-traditional targets. 

Cohen has also been involved in a variety of screenwriting projects with award-winning Director Jerry Schatzberg. Most recently, Seth Cohen and Jerry Schatzberg co-wrote a sequel to the Director's acclaimed film 'Scarecrow', winner of the Cannes Palme d'Or. Variety Magazine covered the planned sequel, here.  Cohen has also been active as a ghostwriter on numerous other screenplay projects, including features, short films, script polishes, full re-writes and more. His collection of personal screenplays includes two feature films.
